Are you an emerging GC musician, making original music, and wanting to showcase your sounds to the world?

Then the A-Venue Youth Music Initiative wants to give YOU the opportunity to showcase your music.
Heres how it works. Councils Cultural Development Unit has linked up with events around the Gold Coast to give you the opportunity to gain valuable exposure and experience. We are now accepting submissions from young and emerging bands/solo artists to be considered for showcasing opportunities.
Recent opportunities include: Parklife, Surfers Paradise Festival, Big Day Out, Quiksilver Pro Show, Waterfront Food and Wine Festival, and Live @ the Waterways Concert Series.

Eligibility criteria
To qualify:
- All solo performers, or 50% of band members, must be 30 years or younger (under 25s may receive preference at certain nominated events)
- All solo performers, or 50% of band members, must be residents of the Gold Coast
Music must be original, no covers.

Submissions close 4.30pm on 5 November 2010. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
A selection panel of local industry experts will assess all band/solo artist submissions and make recommendations based upon the individual requirements of each event.
